The choice for a perfect smartphone is tough nowadays. Daily there’s a new smartphone is launched with some new feature and good price. The market has just now received a new smartphone launch and that’s the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. This has become a tough competitor for the existing pro phone. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is giving a great competition to the Realme 6 Pro. So we are here for you to suggest which of these phones deserve your earned money and your time.

Redmi has just now launched its new smartphone, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max side by side with the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Both the phones are launched in the month of March. The Redmi Note 9 Pro was launched on 12th March 2020 and the Realme 6 Pro was lunched on 5th March 2020. This phone is definitely a mid-range killer as the specifications and the pricing of the phone is too good. And that’s the reason that this phone goes right against the Realme 6 Pro which was recently launched by Realme. yup the phones have some of the common features like side-mounted finger print scanner, a quad camera configuration at the back and more. But they sill have some of the distinct features that make them one better than others. So let’s have a small comparison between both the phones.

Redmi Note 9 Pro vs Realme 6 Pro| Specification:

Both the phones are based on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. They both nearly gives the same type of processing. As most of the time, the same processors don’t work similarly in two different smartphones. Both of these phones come with a ram up to 8Gb and with a base ram variant of 6GB. They both run have internal storage up to 128GB and the base variant of 64 GB internal storage. Both of the phones support external storage expansion through the microSD card. both the phones have dedicated microSD card support up to 256 GB.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and the Reealme 6 Pro both the phones runs on the latest Google’s Android 10 operating system. The difference comes in their custom Ui skin. Both the companies use their custom Ui. In Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, Redmi uses MIUI 11 and the Realme 6 Pro uses the Realme UI. The Realme lacks behind from the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max in battery specification as 6 Pro comes with battery or 4300 mAh which is 720mAh less than that or Note 9 Pro Max(5020mAh).

Again the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max wins in the charger comparison as the Redmi comes with a 33W fast charger in the smartphone box and the real lacking behind comes with a packed fast charger of 30W.

The gaming performance in both the phones are pretty similar. Both the phones perform well in day to day life usage.

Camera Comparision of both the phones –

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a quad camera configuration containing a 64 Megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels of ultra wide angle camera for taking a great shoot, one 5 megapixels camera for taking significant macro shorts and one more 2-megapixel camera for depth sensing.

At the same place, the Realme 6 Pro also comes with the quad camera configuration containing 64 megapixels, 8 Megapixels, 12 Megapixels and a 2 megapixels camera setup.

For selfie, both the phones have amazing cameras and great image processing.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a punch-hole camera or 32 Megapixels configuration which is capable to take wonderful shoots while on the other hand, the Realme 6 Pro comes with the dual punch-hole selfie camera. With camera configurations as one 16 megapixels and the other 8 megapixels camera setup.

Here in the selfie camera configuration, the Realme 6 Pro wins the race. As going for a camera phone both of them are great but for selfie freaks the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is a little better as it has a 32MP camera at the front. But if you want more punchier image and a Croma boost in your images then you should go for the Realme 6 Pro. Even in Realme 6 Pro, you are getting a Dual camera punch-hole design which gives an elegant look to the phone.

Video stability in both the phones are similar and great. Both the phones have electronic video stabilization. They both have image stabilization features also.

Realme 6 Pro vs Redmi Note 9 Pro Max: Design and Display –

Both the phones look stunning and give a classy look in the hand. But when it comes to design and display they give a strong competition to each other. Both the phones have a different approach to reach the users in the Design and Display. On one hand the Realme 6 Pro stands out with a lightning strike design while on the other hand our Redmi Note 9 Pro Max flaunts a reflecting design(which is somewhere a basic design of Redmi nowadays).

The Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with a square camera design at the centre while the Realme 6 Pro comes with a verticle camera design in the top left corner of the phone at the back.  The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max acomes with 3 colour variants – Aurora Blue, Glacier White and Intersteller Black. While the Realme 6 Pro comes in 2 colour variants- Lightning Blue and Lightning Orange.

The screen size of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max is 6.67 inches while the screen size of the Realme 6 Pro is 6.60 inches.

Moving towards the front both of the phone gives a stunning design. Both the smartphones come with a punch hole camera display but still manage to give different looks/ design as. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a single punch hole camera design at the top centre of the phone. And the Realme 6 Pro has a dual punch hole camera display which gives a more elegant look to the phone.

For getting our winner in the display and design concern, clearly the Realme 6 Pro is the winner as it has a dual punch hole design. The Realme again leads as it has a 90 Hz refresh rate panel while the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a 60 Hz refresh rate panel.

So for this round Realme is a winner.

Which one of them you should buy?

In my opinion, if you are thinking for a budget friendly smartphone for yourself then you should go for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. As in the base variant of Redmi is 2000 rupees less than that of the Realme 6 Pro. And similar features are being offered in both the smartphone.

But if you have a good budget then you must be going for the Realme 6 Pro as in the 8GB ram and 128 GB internal storage variant the Realme wins the race. As the pricing of both the phones are same, but in Realme 6 Pro you are getting a dual punch hole design that looks much attractive than that of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
